A series of corrupted audio tools — Max for Live, plugins, utilities — by Disektor. Requirements: Ableton Live 11 or higher with Max for Live (included in Live Suite, or a paid add-on). Runs on macOS and Windows. - PARASEQ — Modulator. A step-sequencer modulator with an Infection Engine that auto-maps movement to entire Live devices in one click. Host: Ableton Live 11+ · Max for Live. Released (v1.0). Free · Personal & commercial use Product page: https://disektor.com/disektlab/paraseq · Docs: https://disektor.com/disektlab/paraseq/docs Download: https://disektlab.gumroad.com/ - BFO (Body Frequency Oscillator) — Modulator · Body-capture. Captures body motion through a webcam or depth sensor and translates kinetic movement into high-resolution modulation signals for any parameter in Live. Host: Ableton Live 11+ · Max for Live. In development — not yet released. PARASEQ can be tried directly in a web browser — no Ableton Live, no Max for Live and no install required — using the interactive bench test at https://disektor.com/disektlab#bench-test. It runs a working miniature of the device: draw a step pattern, map it to device parameters, and optionally hear the modulation applied to a filter. There is no roadmap and no feature list — a device starts as a problem in a real session. - 01 Signal: A problem in a real session with no clean solution. Every instrument starts as friction in an actual track — a modulation that needs eight hands, a gesture no controller can capture. The brief is written from the session, not from a feature list. - 02 Prototype: DSP roughed out in Max/MSP until the idea proves itself. Built fast and ugly first. If the core idea does not survive contact with audio in the first afternoon, it does not continue. Most do not. - 03 Calibration: Ranges, curves and defaults tuned by ear, not by maths. Parameter ranges are set so the whole sweep is usable — no dead zones, no unusable extremes. Defaults are chosen so the device already sounds like something the moment it is dropped on a track. - 04 Field test: Used in a finished record or a live set before release. Nothing leaves the Lab that has not carried weight in real work. If it did not survive a session or a stage, it goes back on the bench. ## Label - Geometric Corruption Records — independent experimental electronic label founded by Disektor in Casablanca, Morocco.
